He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Tammy Baxter (Richard) and Marty Middlebrooks (Allison); his grandchildren, Ana Kay Guimarães (Pedro), Meredith Glisson (Josh), John Martin Middlebrooks, III (Laura Pry), Mary Hayden Scout Johnson (Brian), Margaret Poston (Andrew), Matthew Middlebrooks (Caroline) and Evan Margaret Foltz (Josh); and his sister-in-law Beverly Smoak (Dennis). He was also cherished by seven great-grandchildren.
