He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Ward and Carolyn Ruth Yeomans Ward; his stepfather Ben Russ; and his brother Billy Brown. He is survived by: his children, Jason Ward, Sabrina Ward Fletcher (Jerreth Cumberledge), Aimee Jeanette Ward, Heather Ward Smith (Johnathan) and Jackie Ward; and his siblings, Culey Ward (Charlotte), Wayne Ward (Rose Marie), Elton Dale Ward and Tracey Wallace (Danny). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
