He was predeceased by: his parents, Savannah Gillis Johnson and Fred Lee Johnson; his sons, John Edward Johnson and Wayne Johnson; his stepson Marion "Punk" Morris; and his siblings, Ruth Cochran, Homer Johnson, Sr. and Fred Lee Johnson, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Minnie McGhee Johnson; his children, Wendell Smith (Debbie) of Rochester, NY, Michael Johnson of Houston, TX, Allen Reeves (Martha) of Dothan, AL, Alexander Johnson (Channie) of Dothan, AL, Charnette Johnson McClendon Bogar of Dothan, AL and Todd Johnson (Margie) of Dothan, AL; his stepdaughter Sharon Booker (Ben) of Midland City, AL; and his siblings, Mabel Little of Ashford, AL and Woodrow Foster. He is also survived by friends; special friend.
