He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Newton and Rosa Mae Kilgore Newton; and his daughter Kimberly Newton Henderson. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Vickery Newton; his sister Marianne Witchterman (John); his nieces and nephews, Graham and Leslee; his granddaughters, Garris Jones (Jade), Emma Rose Taylor (Matt) and Shellie Strickland; and his great grandchildren, Laney Shea Jones and Xander Jones.
