He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Connor Ballard; and his parents, John Bishop Ballard and Gertrude Helms Ballard. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Brender of Palmer, AK and Eddie Ballard of King George, VA; his grandchildren, Sophie Kearley, Matthew Kearley of Palmer, AK, Tori Ballard and Travis Ballard of Jacksonville, FL; and his close friend Glenda Gunter.
