He is survived by: his parent Clara Mae Godwin; his wife Virginia Sue Godwin; his children, Tammi Smith (Phillip) and Terry Godwin (Jill); his grandchildren, Carla Smith, Natalie Joiner, Hannah Graves, Ranah McSween, Rhonda McSween, Jonathon Blake Joiner, Kyle Logan Godwin and David McSween; his great grandchildren, Lindsey Godwin, Summer Smith, Addison Joiner, Sophie Wilcox, Brandon Smith, Levi Smith and Landon Scannell; and his siblings, Shirlene Creel (Dalton) and Jerome Godwin (Gloria). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
