She was predeceased by: her parents, B. E. Pippin, and Vallie Branton Pippin, Sr.; her husband Larry Gilliland; and her siblings, Mary Nell Kirkland, Bernice Ellison Pippin, Jr. and Eddie Ruth Williams.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rehobeth City Cemetery.
