James Rudolph McCord Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 18, 2024, at the age of 86, James Rudolph McCord of Dothan, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Lewis and Tessie Leola McCord (Davis); his grandchildren, Amber McCord and Randy Deese; and his siblings, Ralph, Raymond, Randall, Billy McCord, Christine Glass, Mildred Lewis, Dorothy Kinlaw, Sarah Peeples and Martha Arnett.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Ann McCord of Dothan; his children, James McCord (Tina) of Dothan and Sheila Luker (Tony) of Dothan; his brother Jimmy McCord (Judy) of Dothan; his grandchildren, Stephen McCord and Brandi Deese; his great grandchildren, Hayden Sherrouse (Caleb) and Annalei McCord; his great great grandchild Caylee Ann Sherrouse; his stepgrandchildren, Justin, April Luker, Barry Curtis, James, Sara Curtis, Shawn and Faith Curtis; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Dalton, Liam Luker, Keller Youngblood, Archer Curtis and Gavin Hudspeth; his siblings-in-law, Meryl McCord of Cottonwood, Leneve McCord of Ashford and Gary Peeples of Tuscaloosa; his brother Earl; and his sister-in-law Sybil Starling of Dothan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
