He is survived by: his brothers, The Platters, Millie Jackson and Shirley Caesar; his friend His; his wife Martha Grubbs; his children, Sharon Brunson, Sandra Davis, Dennice Grubbs, Darnell Benjamin (Cindy), Belinda Everheart (Donald, Sr.) and DiShon Benjamin (Shelley); his siblings, Versie Jones (John), Mable Coleman (Joel), Glenda Davis (Willie) and Rarzell Grubbs; and his grandchildren, Bashir Brunson, Jasmine Reynolds, Brianna Grubbs, Derrick Perry, Donald Everheart, Jr., Tiesha Flemning, Jonathan Everheart, Emerald Everheart, Bianca Corbitt and Erika Benjamin-Cardenes (Jose). He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
