He was predeceased by: his parents, Vivian Bagwell Chasteen and James Troy Chasteen; and his sister Dorothy Chasteen Dorsett. He is survived by: his wife Melba Middleton Chasteen; his children, David Chasteen (Kelly Chasteen) and Amy Chasteen (Joe Weinberg); his sister Barbara Chasteen McMickens; and his granddaughter Mina (Walker). He is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Evergreen Presbyterian Church (1103 N Pontiac Ave, Dothan, AL 36301).
