It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Hammond of Dothan, Alabama, who passed away on October 11, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Brinton Hammond and Mattie Belle Bryant Hammond; and his wife Nancy Williams Hammond. He is survived by: his children, Donna Hammond (Anne) of New York, Stephanie Hammond Furset (Jeff) of Idaho, George D. Hammond, Jr. (Alesia) of Dothan, Travis Bryant Hammond of Washington, Cornelia Hammond Glenn (James) of Tallahassee and Carmen Hammond Ryan (Jamie) of Ashford; his stepdaughter Julie Evans (Clint Evans) of Dothan; and his sisters, Cornelia Hammond of Panama City, Florida and Martha Hammond Laseter of Panama City, Florida. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
