He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Godwin; his children, Georgia Hazel (Michael), Damon Godwin (MeLena) and Jeff Abney; and his siblings, Jim Godwin (Shirley) and Frances Lindsey of Dothan. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
