She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis McConnell and Frances Nave Pickens; and her brother Billy McConnell. She is survived by: her husband Billy Showers; her sons, James Holmes III and Michael Pickens; her siblings, Cynthia Gillantine, Skip III, Wanda McConnell III, Timothy McConnell, Shane McConnell, Tom McConnell and Eddie McConnell; her granddaughter Christian Williams; and also, Chad Gillantine, Gary Johnson and Carolyn Johnson.
