She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Fowler and Eva Mae Fowler; her son Rickey Ellis McNeal; her sister Margie Johnson; and her brother-in-law Jimmy Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband James McNeal; and her children, Cynthia Holloway (Jerry), Tony McNeal (Robin), Donna Robertson (Roger) and Lisa Wilson (Anthony). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
