She is survived by: her husband James Akins; her children, Leroy Nelson (Lashay), Tasha Copeland, Jeremy Lewis and Billy Clark; her grandchildren, Anesia Cousins, Devonta Johnson, Jeremy Lewis Jr., Jeremiah Lewis, Rachel Copeland, Isaiah Lewis and Jayda Lewis; her great grandchildren, Daemon Johnson and Bryston Cousins; her close friend Barbara Valdes; and also James Blackmon (Crystal). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
