We bid farewell to Dirk Merrill of Dothan, Alabama, born in Opp, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 26, 2024 at the age of 70. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Vicki Hinson Merrill; his parents, Navajo Tomberlin Bawkum and Joe Harmon Merrill; his stepfather Jim Bawkum; his son Casey Merrill; his stepchildren, Justin Fisher (Chasity), Brandt Singletary (Kirsty) and Bethany Fisher; his grandchildren, Jameson Fisher, Sawyer Singletary and Sage Singletary; and his siblings, Jan Grimes, Freddie Merrill, Michael Merrill, Judy Hawthorne and Lynn Frazer.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ward Wilson Funeral Chapel (2414 Hartford Hwy, Dothan, AL 36305). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
