It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Sotherland (Dothan, Alabama), who passed away on February 24, 2018, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph T. Sotherland and Maudie Coleman Sotherland; and his siblings, Southerland Bearden and Gladys Burnette Bearden. He is survived by: his children, Tayra Carpenter (Jeff), Jayna Nord (Guy) and Kevin Sotherland; his grandchildren, Jeremy Sanders (Meggan), Kayla, Kyle, Alyssa, Alyson Carpenter and Izzy Sotherland; his great grandchildren, Alexandria Sanders and Jovanna Sanders; his siblings, Ruby Fowler, Bobbie Coshatt, Mary Fox and Glenda Gaddy; his brothers-in-law, Orvil Lee Bearden and Bobby Gaddy; and his friend Gayle Paschal. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
