She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Clayton and Mizzie Clayton; her husband Jimmie Vaughn; her children, Diane Marie and Donnie Woodrow Beacham; her siblings, Mary Davis, Richard Clayton, Jr., Terry and Author James Clayton; her granddaughter Rosalyn Crawford; and her great grandchild Cornelius Williams.
She is survived by: her daughter Lillie Melvin (William); her grandchildren, Erika Turner, Meredith Timpson (Willie), Anthony Melvin and Vincent Melvin (Shavonne); her nieces and nephews, Linda, Stephanie, Shawn, Larry, Jeffery and Nate Ward; and her sister-in-law Ethel Vaughn of Manhattan. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary (814 Headland Ave, Dothan, AL 36303). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Home Going Celebration. A burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at the Heaven Cemetery (2106 Starling Rd, Dothan, AL 36303).
