He was predeceased by: his siblings, Eugene Gilbert, Kathryn McGowan and Dorothy Cooley. He is survived by: his wife Christine Gilbert; his children, Christy Spink (David), Connie Capaldo (Ray), Curtis Gilbert (Shannon) and Carla Bauer; his siblings, Winston Gilbert (Bobbie Jean), Eddie Gilbert (Patsy), Wynell Gilmore (Hubert) and Gaynell Brinkley; and his sister-in-law Lutrell Gilbert. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and several nephews, nieces, cousins.
