He was predeceased by: his father Tony Powell; and his grandfathers, Jack Ray Benton and Vernon Carnell. He is survived by: his mother Valorie Carnell (Wayne); his daughter Avy Powell; his grandmothers, Shirley Benton and Betty Carnell; his siblings, Leeanna Johnson, Amanda Hart, David Tatum, Josh Hart and Wayne Hart IV; his aunts and uncles, Gregory, Michael Carnell, Michael Benton, Annette Wise, Joan Aughtman and Donna Boyd; and his close friend Amy Parker. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
