He was predeceased by: his parents, Van Buren Snell and Wannie H. Evans; and his wife Betty Snell. He is survived by: his daughters, Kasey Wallace (Shawn) and Kim West (Homer); his grandchildren, Haden Smith (Zalin), Payne West, Madison Wallace and Blake Wallace (Olivia); his great grandchildren, Ashlyn Smith, Anniston Smith and Rosemary Wallace; and his sister Vicky Snell Holcombe (Mark). He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
