With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Jeanette Tyus of Dothan, Alabama, born in Graceville, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Reverend Harold Lloyd Tyus; her parents, Tower Stevens and Corine Grant Stevens; and her siblings, Billy Stevens, Jack Stevens and Vivian Stevens Creel.
She is survived by: her children, Bing Tyus (Debbie) of Lake Wales, Florida, Lomell Taylor (David) of Graceville, Florida and Max Tyus (Regina) of Pierson, Florida; her grandchildren, Jeremy Tyus (Nicole), Shane Taylor, Emily Stegall (Barry), Tyla Rizzolo (Angelo) and Beth Davis; and her great grandchildren, Hannah, Gavin Stegall, Henley and Cora Tyus. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ward Wilson Funeral Chapel (2414 Hartford Hwy, Dothan, AL 36305). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
