She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Edwards and Pearl Edwards; and her husband J. C. Blackstock. She is survived by: her children, Angie Courington and Chris Blackstock (Laura); and her grandsons, Chad Cagle and Clayton Blackstock.
She was a member of Sumiton Church of God where she served in the senior choir and donated her time to help raise money for various projects.
