He is survived by: his former wife Sandy Surko; his sons, Evan Salter and Jeremy Salter; and his siblings, Wesley Salter, Raymond Salter, Jeannette Salter English, Went Salter, Louise Salter Cupp, Hearland Hershel Salter, Kitty Salter Banks and Faye Salter Woodall.
