He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hillard Lavon and Evelyn Fortson; his son Michael "Mike" Fortson; his grandchildren, Carson Fortson (Eva), Amber Zeis and Brandy Harvey; his great grandchildren, Rythian Fortson, Juniper Roth and Marion Roth; his sister Gwen Jones; his wife Catherine Sager Fortson; his son Ronald "Jay" Fortson; and his great grandchild Casey Roth.
