He was predeceased by: his parents, Holley Edward and Kylie Evessie Rutledge; his wife Alyce Sheffield Rutledge; and his sister Ruby Baugh. He is survived by: his children, Marvin Roy Rutledge, Jr., Renee R. Luker, Rachel Culbreth and Robin Rembert; and his brothers, Maurice Rutledge and Irvin Rutledge. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
