With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emma Kate Sanderson of Detroit, Alabama, born in Sulligent, Alabama, who passed away on June 4, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Lockhart and Brooksie Webb Lockhart; and her brothers, Auzzie Lockhart and Jeff Lockhart. She is survived by: her husband Olan Alvin Sanderson; her children, Fray Sanderson, John F. Sanderson and Donna K. Sanderson; her grandchildren, Christy Pavlovec (Josh), John Deven Sanderson (Ashley) and Bryant Byrd; and her great grandchildren, Jackson Pavlovec, John Luke Sanderson and Kylie Pavlovec. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
