With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Hurst Skelton of Demopolis, Alabama, who passed away on May 24, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Frank Hurst and Janie Kaiser; and her parents, L. B. Hurst and Anna Augusta Hahn Hurst. She is survived by: her husband John T. "Tommy" Skelton; her daughter Loree Cummings (Charlie); her stepson Tony Skelton (Tina); and her siblings, Billy Hurst (Adelene), Linda Shelby (Harvey), Shirley Gafford (Mack) and Deborah Hewitt. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to Fairhaven Baptist Church, 1504 Cardinal Street, Demopolis, AL 36732.
