It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Angela Durbin of Demopolis, Alabama, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on January 22, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Kurtyka Jr. and Lillian Porvaznik Kurtyka; and her brother Joseph Kurtyka III. She is survived by: her husband George Allen Durbin; her children, Kristine Melton (Greggory) of Gallion, AL, Colleen Marchiniak (Christopher) of Eagan, MN, David Durbin (Melanie) of Livermore, CA, Gregory Durbin (Amanda) of Hayward, CA, Daniel Durbin of Albuquerque, NM and Robert Durbin (Kortney) of Las Vegas, NV; her siblings, Kathleen Compton of Largo, FL, Jayme Kurtyka (Jennifer) of Chicago, IL and Jonathan Kurtyka of Orlando, FL.; and her grandchildren, Kory Durbin, Kaitlin Durbin, Rebecca Melton, Jennifer Melton, Lillian Melton, Karen Melton, Nelliel Marchiniak, Atlas Durbin and Hunter Durbin.
