Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Alphonso West and Gladys Dodd West; and his wife Sue Noland West. He is survived by: his children, Juanita West Jennings (Ronnie) of Ooltewah, TN, Suzanne West of Montz, LA and Johnnie D. West, Jr. (Angela) of Linden, AL.. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church - Demopolis (200 E Decatur St, Demopolis, AL 36732). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to charities for children.
