It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Melton Winters of Demopolis, Alabama, born in McWilliams, Alabama, who passed away on October 7, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frances James and Ethel Lois Winters; his wife Barbara Lyon Winters; and his children, James Daniel Winters and Barbara Elise Winters Mills. He was also cherished by six grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
