It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Cooley Franks of Demopolis, Alabama, born in Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Gladys Taylor Franks; his parents, George G. Franks and Lula B. Franks; and his brother Freddy F. Franks. He is survived by: his children, Bobby Franks (Anita Duncan), Kaye Evans (Arthur), Lydia Randall (Mike) and Cindy Parker; his sisters, Frances Franks Pearson (Tuscaloosa) and Jean Franks Ward (Huntsville); and his grandchildren, Emily R. Spiller (Shane), Scott Evans (April), Michael Randall (Marion), Taylor Evans (Megan), Fallon Taylor (Hunter), Kathleen Randall, Hayden Franks (Lana), Leanna Rogers (Nathan) and Graham Parker (Alena). He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren.
