David Rimel Freeman Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 9, 2025, at the age of 72, David Rimel Freeman of Demopolis, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though David may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those David touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rimel Freeman and Melba Freeman; and his niece Dana Pettis Freeman. He is survived by: his wife Mary Beth Freeman; his daughter Kelley Mullins (Michael); his granddaughter Caroline Mullins; his brother Randy Freeman (Anne); and his nephews, Mark Freeman and Scot Freeman (Anna).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (200 E Decatur St, Demopolis, AL 36732). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Mens Club or the First United Methodist Church Choir Fund.
