It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Compton of Demopolis, Alabama, born in Jefferson, Alabama, who passed away on August 17, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clifford and Carolyn Strother Compton; his former wife Willodeen Agee Compton; and his siblings, Mary Kathryn Bryars, Dorothy Dawson, James Clifford Compton, Jr. and Jack Fulford Compton.
He is survived by: his wife Verba Lee Brasher; his daughter Tina Hamilton; and his stepchildren, Teresa Short Eaves (Dannie), Joe Short (Melissa) and Al Short. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers, a memorial to Rangeline Baptist Church in Linden, AL would be kindly appreciated.
