He was predeceased by: his parents, Jabe Brooks and Susie Dunn Burnett. He is survived by: his wife Lona Kaye Burnett of Demopolis; his sons, David Looney (Tina) and Jeff Acton (Barbara); his grandchildren, Shayna Looney, Justin Acton, Kevin Acton, Katie Abernathy (Blake), Jeff Folsom, Brad Hale (Erin), Josh Hale, Brandon Hale and Tyler Hale (Shawna); his great grandchildren, Lily, Kennedy, Millie, Wyatt and Natalie; and his siblings, Linda Jones, Pat Billings, Jan Bryan (Bubba) and Kerry Burnett.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of West Alabama, Brewersville Cemetery, or charity of choice.
