She is survived by: her husband Virgil Hunter of Delta, AL; her children, Sandra Hunter Embry (Edward), Angela Hunter Cater and Cornelius Hunter; her stepson Rodney Dark; her grandchildren, Aaliyah Cater, Claudies Embry and Malik Dark; her siblings, Jerry Dean Beckham, Ella Mae Scott (Zebbie), Christine Allen (Percy), Lenora Youmans, Samuel Lee Barnes, Jr. (Priscilla), Charlie Barnes (Mary) and Kenneth Barnes; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Bishop, Angela Zackery, Nannette Stephens, Terry Stephens and Jeffrey Stephens. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
