He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Benton Henderson and Vina Henderson; his sister Faynell Pruitt; his wife Betty Henderson; his daughters, Beverly Jane Strickland (Jerry D.) and Lisa Compton; his siblings, Parnell Henderson, J. W. Henderson, Toby Henderson and Florenda McCleroy; his granddaughter Holly Strickland-Carter-Bentley; and his great grandchildren, Zere Caden Carter and Cohen Carter.
