With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Oral Leona Hewitt in Decatur, Alabama, who passed away on January 15, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Oral Leona leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reginald H. Stiles and Edna L. Knapp Stiles; her husband Versal Hewitt; and her children, Jerry Hewitt and Shelly Jean Rowe.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Hewitt (Faye), Clifford Hewitt (Missy) and Nadene Vian (Scott). She is also survived by Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Peck Funeral Home (1600 Hwy 31 SW, Hartselle, AL 35640). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Peck Funeral Home Chapel (1600 Hwy 31 SW, Hartselle, AL 35640).
