We are sad to announce that on June 21, 2024, at the age of 90, Mary Lee Smith of Decatur, Alabama, born in South Bend, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Mary departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mary leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Ann Irene Hook Couch; her husband Ed Smith; and her brother Jackie Couch. She is survived by: her son Gary Smith (Cindy); her grandchildren, Chris Smith and Brandon Smith (Kacie); and her great grandchildren, Charlotte and Jensen Smith.
