She was predeceased by: her parents, George Robert Wimberly and Emily Corinne Larimore Wimberly; and her sister Janet Homeier. She is survived by: her husband Richard Hankla; her children, Robert Hankla (Shelly) and Dawn Petrey (Lloyd); her sister JoAnn Garrett; her grandchildren, Rachel Knapp (Kyle), Lindsey Ebbinger (Jordan), Adam Petrey (R'Nelle Collins), RaeAnne Vens (Kyle) and Elisa Johnson (Brian); and her great grandchildren, Aria Knapp and Emersyn Knapp.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Parkway Funeral Home (23599 AL-24, Trinity, AL 35673). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to the Decatur Baptist Church Literature Ministry.
