She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Grady James, Sr. and Vena Erle Dansby James; and her sisters, Betty Rice (James), Grace Fagan (Robert) and Carnell Appleton (Bud).
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Vicki Vandervelde and Richard L. Baker, Jr. (Daphne); her siblings, Lewis Grady James Jr. (Bonnie) and Barbara Henderson; her grandchildren, Jeremy Garrison (Samantha), Amber Garrison, Jessica Sanchez (Salvy), Brittany Coggin (Clint) and Brooke McNutt (AJ); and her great grandchildren, Kaylee Garrison, Aby Garrison, Adaline Small, Noah Coggin, Oaklyn McNutt, Parker McNutt and Brayden McNutt.
In lieu of flowers, her family has asked that you donate to Meals on Wheels, Hospice of the Valley or to Trinity Baptist Church in Trinity, AL., in her memory.
