It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kathleen Slaten of Decatur, Alabama, born in Mount Hope, Alabama, who passed away on December 10, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James P. Slaten; her parents, Claude McRight and Elizabeth McRight; her siblings, Davis McRight, Lorene Smith, Doris Terry and Chris Cagle; and her son-in-law Esco Olinger.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joan Olinger of Decatur and Miria Upton (Lanny) of Decatur. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
