He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Edna Earl Wallace Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ventura Wallace; his children, John Thomas Wallace III (Michelle) of Murfreesboro, Roberson Payne Wallace (Sara) of Denver, Page Wallace Beer (Sam) and Alston Wallace Davis (Chad) of Tampa, Florida; and his siblings, Sandra Putnam (Mike) of Decatur, Jeannie Earl Wallace and William Payne Wallace (Linda) of Decatur. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to First Baptist Church, Hospice of the Valley or Decatur Firefighters.
