He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sibling Boys Quest; his niece Pam Wallis; his wife Frances Tate Hatcher (Frankie); his children, John Dorsey Hatcher (Connie), James Edwin Hatcher (Susan) and Anita Hatcher Russell (Chris); his grandchildren, Nathan (Katie), Bradley, Brittany (Will), Will (Brittney), Steven (Libby), Emily, Melissa and Jessica; his great grandchildren, Rose and Jimmy; his parents, Dorsey Hatcher and Ruth Hatcher; and his siblings, Bethel, Ruby, Polly, Raymond, Clifford, Sarah, Richard, Virginia, James, Robert Hatcher (Donna), Edwin Hatcher (Dolene) and Butch Hatcher (Brenda).
The last two weeks of his life, he fought hard against pneumonia and COVID-19.
