It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jean Marie Thomas Mangum of Decatur, Alabama, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Grafton F. Mangum, Jr. (Bert); her parents, Charles E. Thomas Sr. and Edith C. Sohn Thomas; and her daughter Christine Elliott. She is survived by: her brother Charles E. Thomas Jr. (Ann); her son-in-law Warren; her children, Jacqueline, Barbara (Ed), Patricia, Grafton III (Julie) and Jeanette (Kent); and her grandchildren, Kristin, Lezlee, Jennifer, Jamila, Niki, LaLonnie, Jean, Matthew, Lara, Liam, Stephanie, Samantha, Ben, Livia and Eli. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Laughlin Service Funeral Home (2320 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL 35805). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
