He was predeceased by: his parents, Dalford Maples and Irene Way Maples; his wife Mary "Sue" Turner; his brothers, Philip Maples, Raymon Maples, Floyd Maples and Loyd Maples; and his siblings-in-law, Lee Daniel and Jan Maples.
He is survived by: his sons, David Maples (Donna), Bryan Maples (Jennifer) and Tracy Maples (Nancy); his siblings, Louis Maples, Bobby Maples (Sue), Charles Maples (Michelle), Margaret Daniel, Dale Ray (Fred) and Dianne Ferrell (Leon); his sister-in-law Lisa Maples; his grandchildren, Taylor Allen (Zachary), Logan Maples, Garrett Maples, Sofia Maples, Jackson Brown, Dave Russell and Michael Russell; and his great grandchild Lexie Russell.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bellview Baptist Church (5539 Old Moulton Rd, Decatur, AL 35603). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
