He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Knight and Edith Knight. He is survived by: his wife Martha Knight; his sons, David Knight (Judy), Bradley Knight and Patrick Knight (Malina); his grandchildren, Jason Knight, Mandy Bedwell, Isaac Knight and Andrew Knight; and his great grandchildren, Leah Knight, Trevor Knight, David Bedwell and Makayla Bedwell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home (711 Memorial Dr SW, Decatur, AL 35601). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
