It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Ellsworth Payton Sr. (Decatur, Alabama), born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 21, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Paul Payton and Clementine Williams Payton; his wife Mildred Harris Payton; and his brother Lawrence Payton. He is survived by: his children, Robin Payton Keown (John), Jack Payton, Jr. (Kelli) and Wally Payton (Emily); his grandchildren, Rebecca Keown Williams (Chris), Katherine Keown Cunningham (Robert), Trey Keown, Katie Payton, Olivia Payton, Sophie Payton and Trent Payton; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Williams, Abigail Williams, Annie Cunningham, Knox Cunningham and Brylee Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church in Decatur.
