She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Harrison Russell and Tempreance Jane Holt Russell; her husband Richard Marvin Hughes; her daughter Norma Jean Hughes; her siblings, Benjamin Harrison "Benny" Russell, Bertha Russell Brown, Essie Russell Anderson, Catherine Russell Lyle, Olean Russell Maxwell, Olga Russell Turman and Eloise Russell Hill; and her half-siblings, R. V. Russell and Bobbie Sikes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Demaris Ann Johnson of Hartselle and Janet Smith (Jerry) of Rock Spring, GA; her grandchildren, Joe Shaw (Sharma) of Hartselle, Jerry B. Smith (Barbara) of Fort Oglethorpe, GA., Lisa Speegle (Jeff) of Hartselle, Beth Davis (Frank) of Priceville, Alison Milans (James) of Kennesaw, GA. and Dana Goolesby of Ringgold, GA.; and her half-brother Carl Russell of Eva. She is also survived by 13 Great Grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren.
