It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman Moore Jr. of Decatur, Alabama, who passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Tilden Moore, Sr. and Hazel Vivian Sparkman Moore; his daughter Julie Moore; and his siblings, Wade Moore and Renee Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Roberts Moore; his children, Brenton Moore, Kelly Southward, Brooke Clemons (Chuck) and Jonathan Ford; his stepsons, Joseph Marsh IV (Bene) and Adam Marsh (Brittany); his grandchildren, Carly Southward, Darian Southward, Alli Lindsey and Justin Johnson; his stepgrandchildren, Garret Marsh (Jessica), Joshua Marsh (Molly) and Ella Honeycutt (Will); his great grandchildren, Ryder Johnson, Vivian Marsh and Naomi Marsh; and his brother Greg Moore (Joann).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations In Honor of Sparky Moore be made to "A New Leash on Life" Animal Rescue and Adoption Organization no kill shelter.
